New Faces at Crawford

Ok, so Cindy Sheehan is going back, but did anyone notice who was arrested down there yesterday? (Under the new "stop embarrassing our native son in his backyard" law forbidding demonstrators anywhere near the ranch?) None other than Daniel Ellsberg, our Pentagon Papers hero of yesteryear.

Glad to see that some of the Vietnam-era folk are getting involved in this. I thought for a minute there we were going to leave it to the kids & mothers.

good for him. i think he's there to give the big middle finger to another generation of dirty tricksters, too. after all, this gang, who outed valerie plame in retaliation for her husband's criticism, is the spiritual successor to the plumbers and the people who broke into ellsberg's psychiatrist's office in search of dirt to plant on him in the media. karl was just a pup back then, but he had a great series of slimemeisters to learn from.

Which reminds me. What's Ron Zeigler up to these days? Dead? Alive?

mr. ziegler has gone to the Great Press Room in the Sky, as of a couple of years ago. meanwhile, chuck colson, the man who would "run over my grandmother for richard nixon" has found religion and now works with something called "prison fellowship." he pops up occasionally on tv to denounce secular humanism(i still don't really know what that is) and shill for "intelligent design." i think most of the rest of them, including haldeman and erlichmann, have likewise left us. what their destination was, i cannot say.

Yeah, I knew what was up with the rest. I'd lost track of our boy Zeigler there. Colson was interviewed for something some months back, can't remember what, but he was being a real horse's ass for someone who's gotten religion.
