2006's Dweb Candidate of the Year
Is it too early to get some nominations in for the first annual Make it Stop! Make it Stop! Dweb Candidate of the Year?
Unfortunately for all of us, no it isn't.
I'm throwing North Carolina Republican Vernon Robinson's name into the hat.
Got someone you think can out dumb, out dweb, and out stupefy Vernon "If Miller had his way, America would be nothing but one big fiesta for illegal aliens and homosexuals" Robinson?
If you do, offer up your nomination. All we need is:
Name, state & party of the nominee
and
Why s/he should receive this soon to be not at all prestigious award.
Nominate your choice in the comments section of this post.
Winner will receive the world's eternal gratitude if s/he loses the election.

Sadly, my choice was bounced in the primaries.
James D. Kelly Jr. ran against incumbent Robert Menendez for the NJ Senate seat vacated by John Corzine when he was elected governor, appointing Menendez.
Kelly was released from a "group home" for undisclosed emotional problems six years ago, and each year since has run for some statewide office.
Unlike Adlai Stevenson, a perennial national candidate, Mr. Kelly had neither the backing nor endorsement of ANY political figure in New Jersey, and has spent the princely sum of $0 on his campaigns.
I like your choice of Vernon Robinson, but you forgot the most important thing about his candidacy, La Popessa:
He's black, and he models himself after Jesse Helms!
can we have a competition for the most repulsive individual currently serving in our nation's legislature? if so, i would nominate Senator Imhofe and call out everyone who cast a ballot for him. his screed against gay people the other day in the senate, when it was clear that the Defense of Marriage act was going down, was both appalling and astonishing. This guy has been living an antediluvian life, if i may be so bold.
