I've Never Heard of Brad Miller, But I Just Sent Him a Check

Miller is a North Carolina rep who is being challenged by Republican Vernon Robinson with this radio ad:

"Brad Miller supports gay marriage and sponsored a bill to let American homosexuals bring their foreign homosexual lovers to this country on a marriage visa. If Miller had his way, America would be nothing but one big fiesta for illegal aliens and homosexuals."

Brad Miller, enjoy my check, and hopefully many more folks will be sending money your way.

small minded people ... just what are they really afraid of? People are not after them, they just want to live their life like everyone else. Sheesh!

Well, thanks to Bush and his supporters (like this fellow) I don't have $ to send anywhere, since my wife (who graduated with almost straight A's from the local community college) has applied for over 100 jobs and gotten exactly one of them-- substitute teacher at the the local elementary school. In other words, still 90% unemployed (except for months like this one, when she's 100% unemployed). But according to the government, she'd be considered employed.

Oh well, they may not be doing anything to help people live, but darn it, they are doing their best to protect us from them "gay, furrin' terriss."

Yeah... I'll sleep better at night knowing that Osama is still on the loose, our army is stuck fighting in a guerrilla war, we're not ready for the next major natural disaster yet, sea levels are rising and we have a President who refuses to believe what he could actually go look at if he wanted to, we've got trillions in debt that the Chinese are now holding, we are teaching our children unscientific speculation in their biology class, and millions of Americans aren't getting the health care they need because they can't afford it, but dang it, we've got candidates running for Congress who will insist on drawing the line at letting in Claude from Paris because he loves Bruce from Idaho! None of those other problems matter as much as keeping Claude out!

Angie: What they are afraid of, is that people might start thinking for themselves, and that might overthrow their personality/control cult. These are the same kinds of people who held book burning parties in the bad old days (and they'd probably do it again if they could get away with it.)
