So the same guys who spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to convince us to elect them because they are the best and the brightest (ok, usually because the other guy is worse, honestly there isn't a lot of positive campaigning anymore) suddenly begin claiming to be the worst and the stupidest. "Why no, sir, I didn't realize that man was trying to bribe me."
Oh please let their constituents be paying attention this time. Do NOT send these people back here, ok? Can we have that deal?

no argument here. question is, can we get through to the crowd who listens to rush and lars larson all day? That's the only thing you can hear on the local radio station in these here parts...you hear those jerks blaring from every construction worker's truck. you can bet that they are hearing "this is just business as usual, everybody does it," because that's the republican talking points and that's what rush and lars parrot day in and day out.
So how do we get through to the Great Silent, Non-Reading public on this abuse of the public's trust(and money?) That's the key to making it all stick.
It may be an "everybody does it" thing, but I have a feeling that as the year moves along, and we near the elections we'll be hearing more and more about cleaning up government from enough people that it starts to break through even in the great silent non-reading public (i.e., morons).
