Remind Me Again What Conservatives Stand For?

Didn't it use to be cautious fiscal spending?

The Federal budget deficit is expected to hit $400 billion by the end of this fiscal year in September. Horrible number, you say? Well, the administration boasted of pretty horrible numbers last year and the year before about this time. Why?

So that when the deficit hits $380 billion in September, they'll be able to boast that it was "not as bad as anticipated."

And so, after being fooled by this two years in a row, are we going to fall for it again this year?

Time will tell.

i'd take ted's leadership in a new york--sorry, boston--minute, after watching this sad show for five years. just think what we've accomplished with the republicans in office, aside from ballooning deficits: an elective war that has destabilized rather than democratized the middle east;mass detentions at guantanamo; the abu ghraib prison scandal; black prisons where people disappear; pay-for-play propaganda at home and abroad(remember armstrong williams shilling for NCLB?; no capture of bin laden; botched katrina response and mass incompetence of political appointees in responsible positions; end run around FISA surveillance of american citizens; manipulation of terror alerts; swift-boating of any and all critics.
i don't know what planet you live on, anonymous. if it's in a galaxy far, far away, why don't you bundle up this crew and take them with you. then you can all be space cadets together!
